pretty pets!

"pretty pug"

Well wouldn't you know.....take away the pressure to do something and I'll happily stitch away!
It appears I may make more animal pieces in the months OUTWITH the challenge I set myself for the month of May.......
ah well.....mum always did say I was fickle!... :)

And I never saw myself stitching a lilac rat...but when the lovely Karen told me about her dear whiskery friend "Bilbo" and how she'd like me to capture him in stitch, it was impossible to refuse.

Karen very eloquently shares her wee tale of Bilbo here.....
What I found the dearest of all (other than that Karen made scrambled eggs in olive oil to keep is coat glossy..sooo sweet!)  was that his fave treat was peas :)x

  1. Love your stitched animals...not a rat lover...I lived in the Isle of man for a year....the horrid things were everywhere...and massive...there are no snakes or foxes on the island so ooowwwwyuck..

  2. dearest jenny,
these all just make me want to give you a big hug!
because your loveableness just comes through your creations.
    deardeardear you are!!

  3. I am loving all of your latest work... It is such a fantastic combination of your tremendous talents!

I hope you are out of your "fankle" - I am really quite pleased to have learned that word... Now there is a simple way to describe my constant state of being! Ha!

Sending great big hugs across the miles...

  4. Beautiful work, once again.

  5. Another big thank you from me :-)
    Loving that flowery woof!

  6. Oh, I love your stitched creatures! I am now imagining how you could transform my two cats and hen into a stitchy piece of artwork! Liz :)

  7. These are so very sweet...especially, the lilac rat! ~H♥~
