Pencil sketches

I've got my finger in so many pies at the moment : getting orders ready and preparing for an exhibition in May ...that I've nothing complete to show you ..just LOTS of  half finished pieces. So I thought I would share some of the pencil sketches I recently did. I got the total " pencil urge!" over the Christmas hols and since it was a bit of time I'd promised myself to create whatever I fancied outside of the normal stitchery I went for it.....
I do love using pencils, it seems to be the medium for me where I just kind of scribble away without much thought then suddenly something appears on the page and I am left pleasantly surprised ,but largely wondering where the heck it came from!

These sketches have lead me to experimenting and creating some pieces for exhibiting...I look forward to showing you them in May!

  2. Your draw so beautifully Jenny. There is something so satisfying about pencil and paper. I have just seen your comment about dyeing on my blog. There is no magic involved I just use Dylon dyes, sometimes mix them together or dye something and then over dye it again. Hope this helps.

  4. Scribble? SCRIBBLE!

Jeez woman, you really know how to make someone feel inadequate. If that is what you produce when you scribble I might have to donate all of my pencils to you. They are obviously in the wrong hands here :o)

Hope the preparation for the show are going well and you've managed to procure a large bear for the next full moon.

    1. Eek..sorry no feeling of inadequacy permitted her :) (However I have to add- your ability to wear killer heels far surpasses my pencil sketches!!)

  6. wow - 'staggering'! No really - really good. Have you had art training? before midwifery or are you a natural talent? You've reminded me of the benefits of a little 'off pieste' art time - good things come up. good luck with the prep. x

Thank you for your lovely words over at mine recently - they mean so much. I sometimes think I waffle on a bit. And maybe say to much especially on those reviews :)
