ReplyDeleteFrilltastic... :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable journal, I love it, so pretty :)
ReplyDeletethe ruffles really work on your journal. i tried doing ruffles on a collage a while back but just couldn't get it to work.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Love all the frills! Thinking about frills and fins and gills makes me think of a project I did with a friend of mine in high school. We made a display board about a public aquarium for a history fair (calling it Gills and Thrills) and spent hours cutting out waves for our background. Not quite as fun as pretty blue frills, though.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful - your details are amazing! I love what you have written on it... "Sea further than the goldfish bowl"
ReplyDeleteYour text reminds me of being a little girl - I had a pet goldfish in my bedroom and I felt really bad that he only had a view of my room. So one day I scooped him up by his tail and held him up to my bedroom window so he could see the world beyond my room. I thought his wiggling was excitement (I was very little and didn't know he couldn't live outside his bowl). I put him back in his bowl and left for a little while... Unfortunately I bet you can guess what I found when I returned. I was very, very sad.
It's funny what memories different works of art can conjure up...
