Ever felt like you are running on the spot..getting no where fast?!
Yep, that's about where I'm at right now!
I haven't got a painted journal cover to show you yet (as mentioned yesterday)...my small child is now fully recovered and abound with energy...so lots of play to catch up on today!
Instead I'm showing you my latest fabric journal I've made which is from my most recent painting.."dancing in the rain"...I'm quite in love with it actually....its my favourite yet!
However...I REALLY need to get my paint on...I have these paintings waiting to be worked on..AND I have an exhibition in May which I am taking part in! (gulp!) It's a local event where artists of this area are opening up their studios and inviting the public to take a look..and purchase some creations of course if they should fancy....
I have about 3 paintings to sell so far!And not many books to add :)
But yes I can hear you all shout....Less moaning more painting :)
I'm joining in with the Paint Party Friday today.....come with me a take a look at what everyone else is getting upto x
Oh, I love your paintings, especially the swing one, just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I LOVE that journal! You are so talented!!!
ReplyDeleteYour journal is beautiful! And your paintings too, it's lovely to see them unfinished as I can see the process of layering you go through which is fab. I can sooooo relate to your feeling of not getting anything done, the ole M.E. has been demanding that I do nothing but sit and rest, and while I've been squidging my cats, and pondering the meaning of life over cups of lovely warm tea, my head has been relatively fizzing and popping with creative ideas... Do you think the world needs knitted pyjamas, and sheepskin pillowcases?! Big hugs, Em xxx
ReplyDeleteEeek! May! Nothing like a bit of pressure to get you moving eh? That journal is gorgeous - I'm in awe of all the things you find time to do, well done! Glad the little one is feeling better, have a great weekend. x
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful- I really like the way you added more raindrops with other media- it really gets the point across. I LOVE the other paintings you shared too- they are each wonderful and a great example of the variety in your work.
ReplyDeleteNow, go get your paint on ;)
Happy PPF!
Stephanie

ReplyDeleteYour fabric journal is....I can't find the words to describe how intricately, imaginatively, beautiful it is! You are soooo clever - when are you running residential courses on how to create such beauties? I love Scotland. Surely you have an annexe or something you can house participants in. LOL.
ReplyDeleteThose paintings look full of potential - already full of imaginative detail. I look forward to seeing more of them.

ReplyDeleteIn answer to your volume question about my decoupage frame, it means that it has a double image with white paste in between to raise the design. It has a 3D effect.
I just found your blog and loved visiting with you. Filled with so much truth and beauty. So glad I found you. I look forward to visiting again soon.
