Turns out if I don't HAVE to do it and give myself some time and space, the urge to get the needle and thread out returns....which is such a RELIEF. I tell you!
I've been feeling at odds with myself ever since I developed my "sewing aversion"...kind of like a fall out with a best friend. I do like to add a touch of drama, I know. But looking back there has been a hole!
Over Winter I've began easing gently back into it (with my stag head pattern among other projects). And with the approach of spring, realisations have come that I can and want to incorporate sewing back into my life (and business), I just need to be mindful of the ways in which I do it.
It's always a school day :)
A sneaky peak... |
So I am wanting to try something out, and would like to invite you back here on Friday (7th March) to join in with some sewing. It's going to be FUN! It's going to be inspiring! and best of all it's going to be FREE! yippee!
Glad to hear that you and sewing have made friends again!

DeleteGlad to see your getting along with sewing again. I'll come back on friday to see what you're up to. :)
ReplyDeleteyay! :)
ReplyDeleteJenny it's the strangest thing, I'd never heard of this kind of fatigue before then it hit me with knitting and everyone was talking about it! I'm just beginning to fall back in love with the art again. I was so hard on myself, blaming myself for the stash looking back at me, but if you can get it with all your loveliness that makes me smile and brightens up my day I don't feel so bad!
