"there's really nothing to it", said the girl to the goat....
I'm loving Paint Party Friday because it gives me an added incentive to get painting... so here is one of the sketches you saw last week finished off.....
You may be slightly curious as to what random thought processes lead to this end result??!...and my answer would have to be ..none whatsoever!! :)
This is what came out...bit by bit...slightly intruiging to me too! :) However I do like goats!
I'm posting early as I'm off for a wee trip to Edinburgh (my old home from home) minus my youngest kiddo...wowzer..a taste of freedom:)... a return to some old haunts, vintage clothes shops, funky cafes and cobbled streets... bliss bliss bliss!
So I hope you all have a fantastic weekend..I hope to catch up with you all on Sunday.
Big hugsX
Ps.....you can be rest assured that no goats were harmed or endangered in any during the making of this piece..! :)
Ooooh... the textures, the colors, the kooky subject matter - I adore it all!
ReplyDeletePaint Party Friday is loving you right back!
Have fun on your trip :)

ReplyDeleteThis is a very fun painting, love the whole thing, the "bubbles" are a wonderful addition and the textures are great.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous painting! Love the paint layer and the lines of white "bubbles". Modern whimsy.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong about putting the girl together with the lamb. Actually I think they work very well together. They both are gentle and lovely. Well matched! ;)
Funny drawing, has managed to integrate the goat in the festive atmosphere. Greetings
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this! The background is yummy with all of that texture and color, the girl is amazing (beautifully painted skin!), the "bubbles", the goat, ... it's all a wonderful world! :)

ReplyDeleteOooo I love it very whimsicle. And the circles in the background make me happy. The pink and purple remind me of my childhood - they were my favorite colors - I would have died for this as a child. Haha.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF!
I ADORE! The goat is perfect posed as if a wee bit curious about the pending balloon lift. I like your thought process to about letting the piece unfold. Have fun on your trip. Freedom - Wow!
ReplyDeleteFun, whimsical and creative...love the blues and purples as well! Wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors. I love purple and your goat reminds me of the goat I had as a kid. Her name was Pandora. I think the best art comes from having no direction and just ending up where you end up!
