Although it pains me...I'm not making this weeks creative tuesday entry! Booo!
Its birthdays galore this week inclucing my youngest's 3rd aswell as a busy working week in my "proper job"...... so coming up with the goods for the "breakfast" theme never really lifted off the ground! But please go and check who's managed to create some breakfast goodness here!
Instead I'm showing you my latest piece..."dancing in the rain"..and it's an apt one for today because the heavens have been giving it laldie on the rain front....
Now I'm not sure if it's just me...but while most people often find it hard to note any redeeming factor in rain at all, I happen to think sometimes you just can't beat a rainy day :) Especially the ones where its raining soooo hard the only thing we can do is embrace it and go stand in the best waterproof suit we have and dance :)
Yes..I have been known from time to time to enjoy rain in this way..and really I have to say (like I said to my sweetest Stu in response to the bewildered look he gave on asking if he'd ever partaken).....don't knock it till you try it :)
So while I've kept my painting fully clothed know behind her there is a dancing noody me shaking my stuff!! heehee!
PS...Please come back and visit on sunday where I'll be having another giveaway of the JOY variety!
Some of my most favorite rainy memories are of dancing in summertime rainstorms. You know, when it's so hot and then it rains and everything cools off. But I also love a dreary, rainy day inside with quilts and blankets and books and tea!
ReplyDeleteLove your rainy dance painting. :)
Well...I don't think you can beat a rainy night. I sleep so well when it is pouring down!
ReplyDeleteAnd I adore your painting!
Hi Jenny, sorry you didn't make Creative Tuesday's.. I love standing in the rain in Australia, it's like taking a warm shower and I love rain here in France, when I'm tucked up nice and warm indoors... love your paining... just gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteJeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnyyyyyyyy! I was wondering where you had gotten to! Sorry to hear about all the business with computer blah, birthdays and 'proper jobs.' Happy b-day to the little one. I have to says if every rain looked like your sherbert colored dew drops I would want it to rain every day too! I have a thank you to pop in the mail - sorry it has been so delayed. I really appreciate all your positive words on my blog today. They made my daughter happy too! :)

ReplyDeletewonderful work. and the title - dancing in the rain - just perfect. thanks for your visit. I hope you are enjoying your day.
ReplyDeleteI truly heart all your paintings, the colours, the figures, everything really! And you made me smiles with your noody image... It took me a minute to work out what the best waterproof suit is but I got there in the end. So glad you like my honking great rings, no matter how much I try to make a dainty one, they all turn out "mahooooosive". Am so loving that word and will be using it from now on! Big hugs, Em xx
ReplyDeleteYour wonderful painting captures how I feel about spring rain. cheers from a fellow rain lover.
