Waiting for lift off...!

And on cue...it REALLY is a windy day here, perfect for kite flying!
However I'm in my preferred place, all rugged up inside watching the remaining leaves getting blown from the trees and the white clouds whirling by in the sky. I don't know what it is about the wind but I'm not its greatest fan at all.....messes with my chi or something like that :)

And so I am left pondering....while the kite needs a goods strong breeze to send it on its way does the same apply to having our dreams come true?! Do we need something that is beyond us that will provide the lift off and allow them to fly or is it a case of just throwing our dreams out there and seeing if they will take off...?
Well, all I can say is currently I'm glad I am inside and feeling warm and calm.... :)

PS. Finally I have relinquished my resistance and joined in the fun with the ART EVERY DAY CHALLENGE!!! Thankyou Nelly for posting the proverbial kick up the backside I needed! :)

  1. Jenny, everything you create is so lovely. I adore the figure above and the little kite with ribbons....so super cute... let those dreams fly! Oh and the little ecourse im creating to be held in January is going to guide us through making those dreams a reality...so excited to share it in just 2 weeks! xx

  2. As artists, I think we have the upper hand in making our dreams come true.

We can see and feel our "kites" before we raise them aloft and draw pictures of them. After breathing life and color into our creations, we get to sit back and wait for the fun to begin!

I am inspired by this piece and I'm glad that you joined Art Every Day. Beautiful work - interesting ideas!! Thank you.

  3. Came over from AEDM - hubby doesn't like wind either. But I LOVE it. I love the sound of it in the trees with or without leaves. I always wonder what it's whispering - but then I wonder what stories the walls of old houses could tell, too. Very much enjoyed your musings here!

  4. Happy to see you at Art Every day Month.
I 'm with you on the wind. A gentle breeze is nice and a gust everynow and then is ok. But a windy day sends me indoors.
