Stripping it all back..

Do you remember the film "Labyrinth"?I LOVED that weirdy wonderful world as a youngster and David Bowie... need I say more?
Add an "itis" onto the end of labyrinth and you get another equally weirdy world, maybe less of the wonderful and definitely no David Bowie! Boohoo!
Its been a funny old time lately...so much searching, questioning, stripping back the layers and then my body steps in and gives me no option other than to STOP!
So while I am no longer on an emotional rollercoaster, my senses are taking me on a trip that couples a spinning wheel with a stormy sea! It's the STRANGEST experience ever! Especially when I'm sitting here stock still!
If I shut one eye while typing its only a marginal rock back and forward, the storm has settled a little!! Needless to say I'll not be staying here for long..just wanting to pretend for a moment all is normal :)

These pencil sketches I did the day before labyrinthitis set in....stripping back to what I used to love doing a bit of lead on paper. I'll let you see what I've done with them soon...
hugs to you all xx

  6. Hope you feel better soon - I've never heard of labrinthyitis before. I love these simple pencil sketches - the goldfishes' tail looks amazing - you've really captured the notion of it floating out in the water.
BTW Your link takes us to last week's PPF, just in case people don't know you've added this one.

  11. I hope you are okay? Sounds positively nauseating. But, my the pushing lead to paper is astounding. So gifted in so many areas. Feel better and can't wait to see what you've done with the little lovelies up above.

I do hope the rollercoaster runs out of steam soon!!! Crazy stuff the emotions/physical body! Sometimes I can't stand how they are so closely linked!

  15. Oh, I had the worst case of labryinthitis once. I couldn't get out of bed without falling over. I litterally had to crawl to the bathroom when needed and that was the only reason I got out of bed. I really hope yours doesn't last as long as mine did!
I love your graphite e sketches. There is something so beautiful about simple gray graphite on white paper, I think. Feel better soon!

  18. Been there (3 times), got the t-shirt. Totally sympathise with you. It is horrid. Like having room spin without all the wild party that came first. Best thing is to just sit still and hope it goes in a couple of days. It always comes on so suddenly too.

Get well really soon and take it realy easy.

  20. Hi, Jenny, sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. I have been having a rough time lately, too, but all that spinnyness doesn't sound nice at all.

    Your drawings are wonderful.

Hope you feel lots better really soon!

Sorry you you are having a rough ride emotionally and physically....hope things are back on an even keel soon. Stopping isn't something we do naturally....but hope it has given you some time to find a good space to be.
    Thinking of you.

  22. Amazing drawings!!

I just looked up 'labyrinthitis' and it sounds dreadful - I do hope that by the time this late comment reaches you that you're better. I empathise with some of it because the MS can give off similar symptoms but the labyrinthitis sounds more extreme & horrid. Not easy with little ones I'm sure!

Sending you lots of healing hugs & best wishes.
    Kat Xx
