(a wee stitched postcard)
In the end, what with the battle required to take the tent out of the very back of the VERY full cupboard and the rain, rain, rain..we opted for a so-called "wigwam".
Plonked on the beautiful hills that surround Loch Tay. Where trees meet the clouds...
And where it still rained, rained and rained some more
But I like to think we made some very happy memories :)x
Looks like you still had a good time, and that's the main thing! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you had run off to.
ReplyDeleteO my gosh that steer/ox/bull whatever is so darn huggable. I just love his face.
Sorry the weather did not cooperate.
Aaaahhh...the rain! I am not a fan of it on holidays - like when we went to the ironically named Sunshine Coast and it poured down the whole time. Love those Highland cows. I want a mini one.
ReplyDeleteSeeing your pictures brought back so many memories of a holiday a long time ago. It was raining then in Loch Tay!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, the postcard is so cute! :)

The family memories are the thing - and not dependent on weather. Also, very wise not to choose the tent. Would have been soggy!
ReplyDeleteThat cabin looks so cosy. I love holidays like this, outdoors and in the rain but still having fun. Your stitched postcard is just fab. Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog, just managed to heave mysefl out from under the blanket. I had to work very hard to get that "mahoooosive" into the post, but was very proud of myself when I did! Big hugs, Em x
ReplyDeleteI love Scotland and this area is particularly beautiful. I'd like to take the kids. It would be a very very long journey from Cornwall but I was thinking we could break the journey up by visiting on the way. The wigwam cabin sounds a lot better than having to pitch a tent (which I've done before in Scotland) in the rain!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
Glad to learn you're feeling much better than you were.

In a word A-MAZE-ING! That postcard is just *squeeeeee* and I love nothing more than a rainy vacation. It give me permission to nap, read and do nothing. Stay blessed my friend.
ReplyDeleteOOh I feel for you having done many tent/wigwam/savannah tent holidays myself. Still they often are the simplest and happiest and long talked about.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Sorry about the rain, but it looks like you had a beautiful time anyway!!
ReplyDeleteLove that cow with the bangs! :)
