Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving. ~Kahlil Gibran
Would you be shocked if I said I was a HUGE believer in love?!... the all encompassing kind, that makes you feel humbly grateful to be alive and blessed for all the amazing people and extra-ordinary experiences you meet along life's yellow brick road. (with the blog title of "love and peas" I'm thinking probably not! )
So while I'm no great believer in the commercial version of "valentine's day" I'm most certainly at the front of the queue for celebrating that little old thing called LOVE.....
For LOVE transforms........ shines a rainbow on the darkest of days.
Gives you strength and faith, the courage to open your wings and fly.
The theme for this weeks "Creative Tuesday" is "valentine"..and this is my little interpretation...a quick and simple effort, all that time will allow.
But reminds me of one of my favourite quotes
"we can do no great things, only small things with great love" ....Mother Theresa
Awwwwwwww...... :)

What a brilliant quote and piece too, jenny. Love the 3d heart and butterflies. you are so creative with your interpretations. And nope, not commercial in the slightest here but lovely in its own right. A very happy piece in fact. TY> It will look so good in the montage I suspect as well.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Butterflies are always a hit for me. Love the way you've cut them out of different colours/patterns. And like you I'm not into the commercial pressure that can be associated with Valentines sometimes but am all for celebrating the love. Oh and I am a bit of a romantic at heart :-)
